media: dvb: symbol fixup for dvb_attach()
In commit 9011e49d54dc ("modules: only allow symbol_get of EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL modules") the use of symbol_get is properly restricted to GPL-only marked symbols. This interacts oddly with the DVB logic which only uses dvb_attach() to load the dvb driver which then uses symbol_get().
Fix this up by properly marking all of the dvb_attach attach symbols as EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL().

media: dvb: represent min/max/step/tolerance freqs in Hz
Right now, satellite frontend drivers specify frequencies in kHz, while terrestrial/cable ones specify in Hz. That's confusing for developers.
However, the main problem is that universal frontends capable of handling both satellite and non-satelite delivery systems are appearing. We end by needing to hack the drivers in order to support such hybrid frontends.
So, convert everything to specify frontend frequencies in Hz.

[media] dvb-frontends: don't break long lines
Due to the 80-cols restrictions, and latter due to checkpatch warnings, several strings were broken into multiple lines. This is not considered a good practice anymore, as it makes harder to grep for strings at the source code.
As we're right now fixing other drivers due to KERN_CONT, we need to be able to identify what printk strings don't end with a "\n". It is a way easier to detect those if we don't break long lines.
So, join those continuation lines.
The patch was generated via the script below, and manually adjusted if needed.
</script> use Text::Tabs; while (<>) { if ($next ne "") { $c=$_; if ($c =~ /^\s+\"(.*)/) { $c2=$1; $next =~ s/\"\n$//; $n = expand($next); $funpos = index($n, '('); $pos = index($c2, '",'); if ($funpos && $pos > 0) { $s1 = substr $c2, 0, $pos + 2; $s2 = ' ' x ($funpos + 1) . substr $c2, $pos + 2; $s2 =~ s/^\s+//;
$s2 = ' ' x ($funpos + 1) . $s2 if ($s2 ne "");
print unexpand("$next$s1\n"); print unexpand("$s2\n") if ($s2 ne ""); } else { print "$next$c2\n"; } $next=""; next; } else { print $next; } $next=""; } else { if (m/\"$/) { if (!m/\\n\"$/) { $next=$_; next; } } } print $_; } </script>

[media] dvb: Get rid of typedev usage for enums
The DVB API was originally defined using typedefs. This is against Kernel CodingStyle, and there's no good usage here. While we can't remove its usage on userspace, we can avoid its usage in Kernelspace.
So, let's do it.
This patch was generated by this shell script:
for j in $(grep typedef include/uapi/linux/dvb/frontend.h |cut -d' ' -f 3); do for i in $(find drivers/media -name '*.[ch]' -type f) $(find drivers/staging/media -name '*.[ch]' -type f); do sed "s,${j}_t,enum $j," <$i >a && mv a $i; done; done
While here, make CodingStyle fixes on the affected lines.

[media] ds3000: fix LNB supply voltage on Tevii S480 on initialization
The Tevii S480 outputs 18V on startup for the LNB supply voltage and does not automatically power down. This blocks other receivers connected to a satellite channel router (EN50494), since the receivers can not send the required DiSEqC sequences when the Tevii card is connected to a the same SCR.
This patch switches off the LNB supply voltage on initialization of the frontend.

[media] ts2020: call get_rf_strength from frontend
Restore ds3000.c read_signal_strength. Call tuner get_rf_strength from frontend read_signal_strength. We are able to do a NULL check and doesn't limit the tuner attach to the frontend attach area. At the moment the lmedm04 tuner attach is stuck in frontend attach area.

[media] ds3000: bail out early on i2c failures during firmware load
- if kmalloc() returns NULL, we can return immediately without trying to kfree() a NULL pointer. - if i2c_transfer() fails, error out immediately instead of trying to upload the remaining bytes of the firmware. - the error code is then properly propagated down to ds3000_initfe().

[media] ds3000: remove useless 'locking'
Since b9bf2eafaad9c1ef02fb3db38c74568be601a43a, the function ds3000_firmware_ondemand() is called only once during init. This locking scheme may have been useful when the firmware was loaded at each tune. Furthermore, it looks like this 'lock' was put in to prevent concurrent access (and not recursion as the comments suggest). However, this open- coded mechanism is anything but race-free and should have used a proper mutex.
