Merge tag 'net-next-6.6' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/netdev/net-next

Pull networking updates from Paolo Abeni:
"Core:

- Increase size limits for to-be-sent skb frag allocations. This

- Refactor nexthop selection for multipath routes

- Improve sched class lifetime handling

- Add backup nexthop ID support for bridge

- Implement drop reasons support in openvswitch

- Several data races annotations and fixes

- Constify the sk parameter of routing functions

- Prepend kernel version to netconsole message

Protocols:

- Implement support for TCP probing the peer being under memory
pressure

- Remove hard coded limitation on IPv6 specific info placement inside
the socket struct

- Get rid of sysctl_tcp_adv_win_scale and use an auto-estimated per
socket scaling factor

- Scaling-up the IPv6 expired route GC via a separated list of
expiring routes

- In-kernel support for the TLS alert protocol

- Better support for UDP reuseport with connected sockets

- Add NEXT-C-SID support for SRv6 End.X behavior, reducing the SR
header size

- Get rid of additional ancillary per MPTCP connection struct socket

- Implement support for BPF-based MPTCP packet schedulers

- Format MPTCP subtests selftests results in TAP

- Several new SMC 2.1 features including unique experimental options,
max connections per lgr negotiation, max links per lgr negotiation

BPF:

- Multi-buffer support in AF_XDP

- Add multi uprobe BPF links for attaching multiple uprobes and usdt
probes, which is significantly faster and saves extra fds

- Implement an fd-based tc BPF attach API (TCX) and BPF link support
on top of it

- Add SO_REUSEPORT support for TC bpf_sk_assign

- Support new instructions from cpu v4 to simplify the generated code
and feature completeness, for x86, arm64, riscv64

- Support defragmenting IPv(4|6) packets in BPF

- Teach verifier actual bounds of bpf_get_smp_processor_id() and fix
perf+libbpf issue related to custom section handling

Netfilter:

- Speed-up process exit by aborting ruleset validation if a fatal
signal is pending

- Allow NLA_POLICY_MASK to be used with BE16/BE32 types

Driver API:

- Page pool optimizations, to improve data locality and cache usage

- Introduce ndo_hwtstamp_get() and ndo_hwtstamp_set() to avoid the
need for raw ioctl() handling in drivers

- Simplify genetlink dump operations (doit/dumpit) providing them the
common information already populated in struct genl_info

- Extend and use the yaml devlink specs to [re]generate the split ops

- Introduce devlink selective dumps, to allow SF filtering SF based
on handle and other attributes

Systems having 4 GiB of RAM and more require DMA addressing beyond the
current 32-bit limit. Starting from MT7988 the hardware now supports
36-bit DMA addressing, let's use that new capability in the driver to
avoid running into swiotlb on systems with 4 GiB of RAM or more.

net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: add support for in-SoC SRAM

MT7981, MT7986 and MT7988 come with in-SoC SRAM dedicated for Ethernet
DMA rings. Support using the SRAM without breaking existing device tree
bindings, ie. only new SoC starting from MT7988 will have the SRAM
declared as additional resource in device tree. For MT7981 and MT7986
an offset on top of the main I/O base is used.

Merge branch 'page_pool-a-couple-of-assorted-optimizations'

Alexander Lobakin says:

====================
page_pool: a couple of assorted optimizations

That initially was a spin-off of the IAVF PP series[0], but has grown
(and shrunk) since then a bunch. In fact, it consists of three
semi-independent blocks:

* #1-2: Compile-time optimization. Split page_pool.h into 2 headers to
not overbloat the consumers not needing complex inline helpers and
then stop including it in skbuff.h at all. The first patch is also
prereq for the whole series.
* #3: Improve cacheline locality for users of the Page Pool frag API.
* #4-6: Use direct cache recycling more aggressively, when it is safe
obviously. In addition, make sure nobody wants to use Page Pool API
with disabled interrupts.

Patches #1 and #5 are authored by Yunsheng and Jakub respectively, with
small modifications from my side as per ML discussions.
For the perf numbers for #3-6, please see individual commit messages.

Also available on my GH with many more Page Pool goodies[1].

Daniel Golle says:

====================
net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: add basic support for MT7988 SoC

The MediaTek MT7988 SoC introduces a new version (3) of the NETSYS
block and comes with three instead of two MACs.

The first MAC can be internally connected to a built-in Gigabit
Ethernet switch with four 1000M/100M/10M twisted pair user ports.

The second MAC can be internally connected to a built-in 2500Base-T
Ethernet PHY.

There are two SerDes units which can be operated in USXGMII, 10GBase-(K)R,
5GBase-R, 2500Base-X, 1000Base-X or SGMII interface mode.

This series adds initial support for NETSYS v3 and the first MAC of the
MT7988 SoC connecting the built-in DSA switch.

The switch is supported since commit 110c18bfed414 ("net: dsa: mt7530:
introduce driver for MT7988 built-in switch").

Basic support for the 1000M/100M/10M built-in PHYs connected to the
switch ports is present since commit ("98c485eaf509b net: phy: add
driver for MediaTek SoC built-in GE PHYs").

Merge branch 'remove-legacy-phylink-behaviour'

Russell King says:

====================
Remove legacy phylink behaviour

This series removes the - as far as I can tell - unreachable code in
mtk_eth_soc that relies upon legacy phylink behaviour, and then removes
the support in phylink for this legacy behaviour.

Patch 1 removes the clocking configuration from mtk_eth_soc for non-
TRGMII, non-serdes based interface modes, and disables those interface
modes prior to phylink configuration.

Patch 2 removes the mac_pcs_get_state() method from mtk_eth_soc which
I believe is also not used - mtk_eth_soc appears not to be used with
SFPs (which would use a kind of in-band mode) nor does any DT appear
to specify in-band mode for any non-serdes based interface mode.

With both of those dealt with, the kernel is now free of any driver
relying on the phylink legacy mode. Therefore, patch 3 removes support
for this.

Finally, with the advent of a new driver being submitted today that
makes use of state->speed in the mac_config() path, patch 4 ensures that
any phylink_link_state member that should not be used in mac_config is
either cleared or set to an invalid value.

net: ethernet: mtk_eth_soc: remove incorrect PLL configuration

MT7623 GMAC0 attempts to configure the system clocking according to the
required speed in the .mac_config callback for non-SGMII, non-baseX and
non-TRGMII modes.

state->speed setting has never been reliable in the .mac_config
callback - there are cases where this is not the link speed,
particularly via ethtool paths, so this has always been unreliable (as
detailed in phylink's documentation.)

There is the additional issue that mtk_gmac0_rgmii_adjust() will only
be called if state->interface changes, which means it only configures
the system clocking on the very first .mac_config call, which will be
made when the network device is first brought up before any link is
established.

Essentially, this code is incredibly buggy, and probably never worked.

Moreover, checking the in-kernel DT files, it seems no platform makes
use of this code path.

Therefore, let's remove it, and disable interface modes for port 0 that
are not SGMII, 1000base-X, 2500base-X or TRGMII on the MT7623.
