tulip: dmfe: switch from 'pci_' to 'dma_' API
The wrappers in include/linux/pci-dma-compat.h should go away.
The patch has been generated with the coccinelle script below and has been hand modified to replace GFP_ with a correct flag. It has been compile tested.
When memory is allocated in 'dmfe_init_one()' GFP_KERNEL can be used because it is a probe function and no lock is taken in the between.

tulip: dmfe: use generic power management
With legacy PM hooks, it was the responsibility of a driver to manage PCI states and also the device's power state. The generic approach is to let the PCI core handle the work.
The legacy suspend() and resume() were making use of pci_read/write_config_dword() to enable/disable wol. Driver editing configuration registers of a device is not recommended. Thus replace them all with device_wakeup_enable/disable().
Compile-tested only.

Clang warns:

This warning occurs because there is a space before the tab on these lines. Remove them so that the indentation is consistent with the Linux kernel coding style and clang no longer warns.
While we are here, adjust the default block in dmfe_init_module to have a proper break between the label and assignment and add a space between the switch and opening parentheses to avoid a checkpatch warning.

net: deprecate eth_change_mtu, remove usage
With centralized MTU checking, there's nothing productive done by eth_change_mtu that isn't already done in dev_set_mtu, so mark it as deprecated and remove all usage of it in the kernel. All callers have been audited for calls to alloc_etherdev* or ether_setup directly, which means they all have a valid dev->min_mtu and dev->max_mtu. Now eth_change_mtu prints out a netdev_warn about being deprecated, for the benefit of out-of-tree drivers that might be utilizing it.
Of note, dvb_net.c actually had dev->mtu = 4096, while using eth_change_mtu, meaning that if you ever tried changing it's mtu, you couldn't set it above 1500 anymore. It's now getting dev->max_mtu also set to 4096 to remedy that.

drivers/net/ethernet/dec/tulip/dmfe.c: fix error return code
The function dmfe_init_one() return 0 for success and negative value for most of its internal tests failures. There are three exceptions that are error cases going to err_out_*:. Fore this three cases the function abort its success execution path, but returns non negative value, making it dificult for a caller function to notice the error.
This patch fixes the error cases that do not return negative values.
This was found by Coccinelle, but the code change was made by hand. This patch is not robot generated.
A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/)
// <smpl> ( if@p1 (\(ret < 0\|ret != 0\)) { ... return ret; } | ret@p1 = 0 ) ... when != ret = e1 when != &ret *if(...) { ... when != ret = e2 when forall return ret; } // </smpl>
