bnxt_en: Fix wrong return value check in bnxt_close_nic()

[ Upstream commit bd6781c18cb5b5e5d8c5873fa9a51668e89ec76e ]

The wait_event_interruptible_timeout() function returns 0
if the timeout elapsed, -ERESTARTSYS if it was interrupted
by a signal, and the remaining jiffies otherwise if the
condition evaluated to true before the timeout elapsed.

Driver should have checked for zero return value instead of
a positive value.

MChan: Print a warning for -ERESTARTSYS. The close operation
will proceed anyway when wait_event_interruptible_timeout()
returns for any reason. Since we do the close no matter what,
we should not return this error code to the caller. Change
bnxt_close_nic() to a void function and remove all error
handling from some of the callers.

bnxt_en: Display the ring error counters under ethtool -S

The existing driver displays the sum of 4 ring counters under ethtool -S.
These counters are in the array bnxt_sw_func_stats. These counters are
summed at the time of ethtool -S and will be lost when the device is reset.

Replace these counters with the new total ring error counters added in the
last patch. These new counters are saved before reset. ethtool -S will
now display the sum of the saved counters plus the current counters.

Only older NIC controller's firmware uses the PROC AP reset type.
Firmware on 5731X/5741X and newer chips does not support this reset
type. When bnxt_reset() issues a series of resets, this PROC AP
reset may actually fail on these newer chips because the firmware
is not ready to accept this unsupported command yet. Avoid this
unnecessary error by skipping this reset type on chips that don't
support it.

bnxt_en: update RSS config using difference algorithm

Hardware is unable to realize all legal firmware interface state values
for hash_type. For example, if 4-tuple TCP_IPV4 hash is enabled,
4-tuple UDP_IPV4 hash must also be enabled. By providing the bits the
user intended to change instead of the possible illegal intermediate
states, the firmware is able to make better compromises when deciding
which bits to ignore.

With this new mechansim, we can now report the actual configured hash
back to the user. Add bnxt_hwrm_update_rss_hash_cfg() to report the
actual hash after user configuration.

ethtool: linkstate: add a statistic for PHY down events

The previous attempt to augment carrier_down (see Link)
was not met with much enthusiasm so let's do the simple
thing of exposing what some devices already maintain.
Add a common ethtool statistic for link going down.
Currently users have to maintain per-driver mapping
to extract the right stat from the vendor-specific ethtool -S
stats. carrier_down does not fit the bill because it counts
a lot of software related false positives.

Add the statistic to the extended link state API to steer
vendors towards implementing all of it.

Implement for bnxt and all Linux-controlled PHYs. mlx5 and (possibly)
enic also have a counter for this but I leave the implementation
to their maintainers.

Also, refactor NVM APIs so that they can be
used with devlink and ethtool both.

bnxt_en: parse and report result field when NVRAM package install fails

Instead of always returning -ENOPKG, decode the firmware error
code further when the HWRM_NVM_INSTALL_UPDATE firmware call fails.
Return a more suitable error code to userspace and log an error
in dmesg.

This is version 2 of the earlier patch that was reverted:

02acd399533e ("bnxt_en: parse result field when NVRAM package install fails")

In this new version, if the call is made through devlink instead of
ethtool, we'll also set the error message in extack.

bnxt: support transmit and free of aggregation buffers

This patch adds the following features:
- Support for XDP_TX and XDP_DROP action when using xdp_buff
with frags
- Support for freeing all frags attached to an xdp_buff
- Cleanup of TX ring buffers after transmits complete
- Slight change in definition of bnxt_sw_tx_bd since nr_frags
and RX producer may both need to be used
- Clear out skb_shared_info at the end of the buffer

v2: Fix uninitialized variable warning in bnxt_xdp_buff_frags_free().

lessen my load of "things I need to resolve before next release"

bnxt_en: Eliminate unintended link toggle during FW reset

If the flow control settings have been changed, a subsequent FW reset
may cause the ethernet link to toggle unnecessarily. This link toggle
will increase the down time by a few seconds.

The problem is caused by bnxt_update_phy_setting() detecting a false
mismatch in the flow control settings between the stored software
settings and the current FW settings after the FW reset. This mismatch
is caused by the AUTONEG bit added to link_info->req_flow_ctrl in an
inconsistent way in bnxt_set_pauseparam() in autoneg mode. The AUTONEG
bit should not be added to link_info->req_flow_ctrl.
