Use a shorter name. We are going to move in iotests from qmp() to command() where possible. But command() is longer than qmp() and don't look better. Let's rename.
You can simply grep for '\.command(' and for 'def command(' to check that everything is updated (command() in tests/docker/docker.py is unrelated).

python: rename qemu.aqmp to qemu.qmp
Now that we are fully switched over to the new QMP library, move it back over the old namespace. This is being done primarily so that we may upload this package simply as "qemu.qmp" without introducing confusion over whether or not "aqmp" is a new protocol or not.
The trade-off is increased confusion inside the QEMU developer tree. Sorry!
Note: the 'private' member "_aqmp" in legacy.py also changes to "_qmp"; not out of necessity, but just to remove any traces of the "aqmp" name.

block: drop BLK_PERM_GRAPH_MOD
First, this permission never protected a node from being changed, as generic child-replacing functions don't check it.
Second, it's a strange thing: it presents a permission of parent node to change its child. But generally, children are replaced by different mechanisms, like jobs or qmp commands, not by nodes.
Graph-mod permission is hard to understand. All other permissions describe operations which done by parent node on its child: read, write, resize. Graph modification operations are something completely different.
The only place where BLK_PERM_GRAPH_MOD is used as "perm" (not shared perm) is mirror_start_job, for s->target. Still modern code should use bdrv_freeze_backing_chain() to protect from graph modification, if we don't do it somewhere it may be considered as a bug. So, it's a bit risky to drop GRAPH_MOD, and analyzing of possible loss of protection is hard. But one day we should do it, let's do it now.
One more bit of information is that locking the corresponding byte in file-posix doesn't make sense at all.

Merge remote-tracking branch 'remotes/philmd-gitlab/tags/python-next-20200714' into staging
Python patches for 5.1
- Reduce race conditions on QEMUMachine::shutdown()
1. Remove the "bare except" pattern in the existing shutdown code, which can mask problems and make debugging difficult. 2. Ensure that post-shutdown cleanup is always performed, even when graceful termination fails. 3. Unify cleanup paths such that no matter how the VM is terminated, the same functions and steps are always taken to reset the object state. 4. Rewrite shutdown() such that any error encountered when attempting a graceful shutdown will be raised as an AbnormalShutdown exception. The pythonic idiom is to allow the caller to decide if this is a problem or not.
- Modify part of the python/qemu library to comply with:
. mypy --strict . pylint . flake8
- Script for the TCG Continuous Benchmarking project that uses callgrind to dissect QEMU execution into three main phases:
. code generation . JIT execution . helpers execution

It's not obvious that something named __init__.py actually houses important code that isn't relevant to python packaging glue. Move the QEMUMachine and related error classes out into their own module.
Adjust users to the new import location.

Introduce a Python module structure
This is a simple move of Python code that wraps common QEMU functionality, and are used by a number of different tests and scripts.
By treating that code as a real Python module, we can more easily: * reuse code * have a proper place for the module's own unittests * apply a more consistent style * generate documentation

scripts: add render_block_graph function for QEMUMachine
Render block nodes graph with help of graphviz. This new function is for debugging, so there is no sense to put it into qemu.py as a method of QEMUMachine. Let's instead put it separately.
