hw/char/serial currently contains the implementation of both TYPE_SERIAL and
TYPE_SERIAL_MM. According to serial_class_init(), TYPE_SERIAL is an internal
class while TYPE_

hw/char/serial currently contains the implementation of both TYPE_SERIAL and
TYPE_SERIAL_MM. According to serial_class_init(), TYPE_SERIAL is an internal
class while TYPE_SERIAL_MM is used by numerous machine types directly. Let's
move the latter into its own module which makes the dependencies more obvious
and the code more tidy.

The includes and the dependencies have been converted mechanically except in the
hw/char directories which were updated manually. The result was compile-tested.
Now, only hw/char makes direct use of TYPE_SERIAL:

This adds support for emulating Xen under Linux/KVM, based on kernel
patches which have been present since Linux v5.12. As with the kernel
support, it's derived from work started by João Martins of Oracle in
2018.

This series just adds the basic platform support — CPUID, hypercalls,
event channels, a stub of XenStore.

A full single-tenant internal implementation of XenStore, and patches
to make QEMU's Xen PV drivers work with this Xen emulation, are waiting
in the wings to be submitted in a follow-on patch series.

As noted in the documentation, it's enabled by setting the xen-version
property on the KVM accelerator, e.g.:

This will enable support for 'dumpdtb' QMP/HMP command for the sam460ex
machine.

Setting machine->fdt requires a MachineState pointer to be used inside
sam460ex_load_device_tree(). Let's change the function to receive this
pointer from the caller. 'ramsize' and 'kernel_cmdline' can be retrieved
directly from the 'machine' pointer.

Change the ppc440_sdram model to a QOM class derived from the
PPC4xx-dcr-device and name it ppc4xx-sdram-ddr2. This is mostly
modelling the DDR2 SDRAM controller found in the 460EX (used on the
sam460ex board). Newer SoCs (regardless of their PPC core, e.g. 405EX)
may have this controller but we only emulate enough of it for the
sam460ex u-boot firmware.

init. This adds the missing valid memory sizes of 16 and 8 MiB to the

init. This adds the missing valid memory sizes of 16 and 8 MiB to the
DoC and the board now only checks for additional restrictions imposed
by its firmware then sdram init checks for valid sizes for SoC.
