Since qemu_set_vnet_hdr_len() is always called when

For consistency, express that the virtio-net header is not in use by
returning 0 with qemu_get_vnet_hdr_len() instead of having a dedicated

hw, target: Add ResetType argument to hold and exit phase methods

We pass a ResetType argument to the Resettable class enter
phase method, but we don't pass it to hold and exit, even though
the callsites have it readily available. This means that if
a device cared about the ResetType it would need to record it
in the enter phase method to use later on. Pass the type to
all three of the phase methods to avoid having to do that.

msix: Assert that specified vector is in range

There were several different ways to deal with the situation where the
vector specified for a msix function is out of bound:
- early return a function and keep progresssing
- propagate the error to the caller
- mark msix unusable
- assert it is in bound
- just ignore

An out-of-bound vector should not be specified if the device
implementation is correct so let msix functions always assert that the
specified vector is in range.

An exceptional case is virtio-pci, which allows the guest to configure
vectors. For virtio-pci, it is more appropriate to introduce its own
checks because it is sometimes too late to check the vector range in
msix functions.

hw/net: e1000e: Correct the initial value of VET register

The initial value of VLAN Ether Type (VET) register is 0x8100, as per
the manual and real hardware.

While Linux e1000e driver always writes VET register to 0x8100, it is
not always the case for everyone. Drivers relying on the reset value
of VET won't be able to transmit and receive VLAN frames in QEMU.

Unlike e1000 in QEMU, e1000e uses a field 'vet' in "struct E1000Core"
to cache the value of VET register, but the cache only gets updated
when VET register is written. To always get a consistent VET value
no matter VET is written or remains its reset value, drop the 'vet'
field and use 'core->mac[VET]' directly.
