"A collection of pending fixes since a couple of weeks ago, which
became slightly bigger than usual due to my vacation.

Most of changes are about ASoC device-specific fixes while USB- and

ASoC: simple-card: fixup asoc_simple_probe() error handling

asoc_simple_probe() is used for both "DT probe" (A) and "platform probe"
(B). It uses "goto err" when error case, but it is not needed for
"platform probe" case (B). Thus it is using "return" directly there.

static int asoc_simple_probe(...)
{
^ if (...) {
| ...
(A) if (ret < 0)
| goto err;
v } else {
^ ...
| if (ret < 0)
(B) return -Exxx;
v }

...
^ if (ret < 0)
(C) goto err;
v ...

err:
(D) simple_util_clean_reference(card);

return ret;
}

Both case are using (C) part, and it calls (D) when err case.
But (D) will do nothing for (B) case.
Because of these behavior, current code itself is not wrong,
but is confusable, and more, static analyzing tool will warning on
(B) part (should use goto err).

To avoid static analyzing tool warning, this patch uses "goto err"
on (B) part.

ASoC: Updates for v6.6

Here's an initial batch of updates for ASoC for this release cycle.
We've got a bunch of new drivers in here, a bit of core work from
Morimoto-san and quite a lot of janitorial work. There's several
updates that pull in changes from other subsystems in order to build
on them:

- An adaptor to allow use of IIO DACs and ADCs in ASoC which pulls in
some IIO changes.
- Create a library function for intlog10() and use it in the NAU8825
driver.
- Include the ASoC tests, including the topology tests, in the default
KUnit full test coverage. This also involves enabling UML builds of
ALSA since that's the default KUnit test environment which pulls in
the addition of some stubs to the driver.
- More factoring out from Morimoto-san.
- Convert a lot of drivers to use the more modern maple tree register
cache.
- Support for AMD machines with MAX98388 and NAU8821, Cirrus Logic
CS35L36, Intel AVS machines with ES8336 and RT5663 and NXP i.MX93.

ASoC: add multi Component support

Merge series from Kuninori Morimoto <kuninori.morimoto.gx@renesas.com>:

On below HW case, we would like to use it as "2 Cards",
but unfortunately it is impossible in intuitive way,
or possible but not intuitive way.
In reality, it is handled as "1 big Card" today.

+-- basic board --------+
|+--------+ |
|| CPU ch0| <--> CodecA |
|| ch1| <-+ |
|+--------+ | |
+-------------|---------+
+-- expansion board ----+
| | |
| +-> CodecB|
+-----------------------+

To handling it as intuitive "2 Cards", this patch-set
adds multi Component support.

To enable this patch-set, I included [01/15] patch into this patch-set
which is posted but not yet accepted.

Add support for IIO devices in ASoC

Merge series from Herve Codina <herve.codina@bootlin.com>:

Several weeks ago, I sent a series [1] for adding a potentiometer as an
auxiliary device in ASoC. The feedback was that the potentiometer should
be directly handled in IIO (as other potentiometers) and something more
generic should be present in ASoC in order to have a binding to import
some IIO devices into sound cards.

The series related to the IIO potentiometer device is already applied.

This series introduces audio-iio-aux. Its goal is to offer the binding
between IIO and ASoC.
It exposes attached IIO devices as ASoC auxiliary devices and allows to
control them through mixer controls.

On my system, the IIO device is a potentiometer and it is present in an
amplifier design present in the audio path.
