link down work may be scheduled before lgr freed but execute after lgr freed, which may result in crash. So it is need to hold a reference before shedule link down work, and put the reference after work executed or canceled.

The logic to determine if SMC-D link group matches is incorrect. The correct logic should be that it only returns true when the GID is the same, and the SMC-D device is the same and the extended GID is the same (in the case of virtual ISM).
It can be fixed by adding brackets around the conditional (or ternary) operator expression. But for better readability and maintainability, it has been changed to an if-else statement.

According to virtual ISM support feature defined by SMCv2.1, GIDs of virtual ISM device are UUIDs defined by RFC4122, which are 128-bits long. So some adaptation work is required. And note that the GIDs of existing platform firmware ISM devices still remain 64-bits long.

SG_MAX_SINGLE_ALLOC is used to limit maximum number of entries that will be allocated in one piece of scatterlist. When the entries of scatterlist exceeds SG_MAX_SINGLE_ALLOC, sg chain will be used. From commit 7c703e54cc71 ("arch: switch the default on ARCH_HAS_SG_CHAIN"), we can know that the macro CONFIG_ARCH_NO_SG_CHAIN is used to identify whether sg chain is supported. So, SMC-R's rmb buffer should be limited by SG_MAX_SINGLE_ALLOC only when the macro CONFIG_ARCH_NO_SG_CHAIN is defined.
