deference the non-existing SQ ring array (me)

- Add the patch that allows more finegrained control over who can use
io_uring (Matteo)

- Locking fix for a regression added this merge window for IOPOLL
overflow (Pavel)

- IOPOLL fix for stable, breaking our loop if helper threads are
exiting (Pavel)

Also had a fix for unreaped iopoll requests from io-wq from Ming, but
we found an issue with that and hence it got reverted. Will get this
sorted for a future rc"

io-wq will retry iopoll even when it failed with -EAGAIN. If that
races with task exit, which sets TIF_NOTIFY_SIGNAL for all its workers,
such workers

races with task exit, which sets TIF_NOTIFY_SIGNAL for all its workers,
such workers might potentially infinitely spin retrying iopoll again and
again and each time failing on some allocation / waiting / etc. Don't
keep spinning if io-wq is dying.

- Cleanup of the cancel code, and then adding support for canceling
requests with the opcode as the key (me)

- Improvements for the io-wq locking (me)

- Fix affinity setting for SQPOLL based io-wq (me)

- Remove the io_uring userspace code. These were added initially as
copies from liburing, but all of them have since bitrotted and are
way out of date at this point. Rather than attempt to keep them in
sync, just get rid of them. People will have liburing available
anyway for these examples. (Pavel)

- Series improving the CQ/SQ ring caching (Pavel)

- Misc fixes and cleanups (Pavel, Yue, me)"

If we setup the ring with SQPOLL, then that polling thread has its
own io-wq setup. This means that if the application uses

If we setup the ring with SQPOLL, then that polling thread has its
own io-wq setup. This means that if the application uses
IORING_REGISTER_IOWQ_AFF to set the io-wq affinity, we should not be
setting it for the invoking task, but rather the sqpoll task.

Add an sqpoll helper that parks the thread and updates the affinity,
and use that one if we're using SQPOLL.

- As per (valid) complaint in the last merge window, fs/io_uring.c has
grown quite large these days. io_uring isn't really tied to fs
either, as it supports a wide variety of functionality outside of
that.

Move the code to io_uring/ and split it into files that either
implement a specific request type, and split some code into helpers
as well. The code is organized a lot better like this, and io_uring.c
is now < 4K LOC (me).

- Deprecate the epoll_ctl opcode. It'll still work, just trigger a
warning once if used. If we don't get any complaints on this, and I
don't expect any, then we can fully remove it in a future release
(me).

- Improve the cancel hash locking (Hao)

- kbuf cleanups (Hao)

- Efficiency improvements to the task_work handling (Dylan, Pavel)

- Provided buffer improvements (Dylan)

- Add support for recv/recvmsg multishot support. This is similar to
the accept (or poll) support for have for multishot, where a single
SQE can trigger everytime data is received. For applications that
expect to do more than a few receives on an instantiated socket, this
greatly improves efficiency (Dylan).

- Efficiency improvements for poll handling (Pavel)

- Poll cancelation improvements (Pavel)

- Allow specifiying a range for direct descriptor allocations (Pavel)

- Cleanup the cqe32 handling (Pavel)

- Move io_uring types to greatly cleanup the tracing (Pavel)

- Tons of great code cleanups and improvements (Pavel)

- Add a way to do sync cancelations rather than through the sqe -> cqe
interface, as that's a lot easier to use for some use cases (me).

- Add support to IORING_OP_MSG_RING for sending direct descriptors to a
different ring. This avoids the usually problematic SCM case, as we
disallow those. (me)

- Make the per-command alloc cache we use for apoll generic, place
limits on it, and use it for netmsg as well (me).

- Various cleanups (me, Michal, Gustavo, Uros)
