Revert "dm: requeue IO if mapping table not yet available"

[ Upstream commit c8691cd0fc11197515ed148de0780d927bfca38b ]

The following

Revert "dm: requeue IO if mapping table not yet available"

[ Upstream commit c8691cd0fc11197515ed148de0780d927bfca38b ]

This reverts commit fa247089de9936a46e290d4724cb5f0b845600f5.

The following sequence of commands causes a livelock - there will be
workqueue process looping and consuming 100% CPU:

dmsetup create --notable test
truncate -s 1MiB testdata
losetup /dev/loop0 testdata
dmsetup load test --table '0 2048 linear /dev/loop0 0'
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/dm-0 bs=16k count=1 conv=fdatasync

The livelock is caused by the commit fa247089de99. The commit claims that
it fixes a race condition, however, it is unknown what the actual race
condition is and what program is involved in the race condition.

When the inactive table is loaded, the nodes /dev/dm-0 and
/sys/block/dm-0 are created. /dev/dm-0 has zero size at this point. When
the device is suspended and resumed, the nodes /dev/mapper/test and
/dev/disk/* are created.

If some program opens a block device before it is created by dmsetup or
lvm, the program is buggy, so dm could just report an error as it used to
do before.

Merge tag 'for-6.3/dm-changes' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/device-mapper/linux-dm

Pull device mapper updates from Mike Snitzer:

- Fix DM cache target to free background tracker work items, otherwise
slab BUG will occur when kmem_cache_destroy() is called.

- Improve 2 of DM's shrinker names to reflect their use.

- Fix the DM flakey target to not corrupt the zero page. Fix dm-flakey
on 32-bit hughmem systems by using bvec_kmap_local instead of
page_address. Also, fix logic used when imposing the
"corrupt_bio_byte" feature.

- Stop using WQ_UNBOUND for DM verity target's verify_wq because it
causes significant Android latencies on ARM64 (and doesn't show real
benefit on other architectures).

- Add negative check to catch simple case of a DM table referencing
itself. More complex scenarios that use intermediate devices to
self-reference still need to be avoided/handled in userspace.

- Fix DM core's resize to only send one uevent instead of two. This
fixes a race with udev, that if udev wins, will cause udev to miss
uevents (which caused premature unmount attempts by systemd).

- Add cond_resched() to workqueue functions in DM core, dn-thin and
dm-cache so that their loops aren't the cause of unintended cpu
scheduling fairness issues.

- Fix all of DM's checkpatch errors and warnings (famous last words).
Various other small cleanups.

Merge tag 'asoc-v6.2' of https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound into for-next

ASoC: Updates for v6.2

This is a fairly sedate release for the core code, but there's been a
lot of driver work especially around the x86 platforms and device tree
updates:

- More cleanups of the DAPM code from Morimoto-san.
- Factoring out of mapping hw_params onto SoundWire configuration by
Charles Keepax.
- The ever ongoing overhauls of the Intel DSP code continue, including
support for loading libraries and probes with IPC4 on SOF.
- Support for more sample formats on JZ4740.
- Lots of device tree conversions and fixups.
- Support for Allwinner D1, a range of AMD and Intel systems, Mediatek
systems with multiple DMICs, Nuvoton NAU8318, NXP fsl_rpmsg and
i.MX93, Qualcomm AudioReach Enable, MFC and SAL, RealTek RT1318 and
Rockchip RK3588

There's more cross tree updates than usual, though all fairly minor:

- Some OMAP board file updates that were depedencies for removing their
providers in ASoC, as part of a wider effort removing the support for
the relevant OMAP platforms.
- A new I2C API required for updates to the new I2C probe API.
- A DRM update making use of a new API for fixing the capabilities
advertised via hdmi-codec.

Since this is being sent early I might send some more stuff if you've
not yet sent your pull request and there's more come in.

fsi: Add regmap and refactor sbefifo

Merge series from Eddie James <eajames@linux.ibm.com>:

The SBEFIFO hardware can now be attached over a new I2C endpoint interface
called the I2C Responder (I2CR). In order to use the existing SBEFIFO
driver, add a regmap driver for the FSI bus and an endpoint driver for the
I2CR. Then, refactor the SBEFIFO and OCC drivers to clean up and use the
new regmap driver or the I2CR interface.

This branch just has the regmap change so it can be shared with the FSI
code.
