[ Upstream commit 8f0f01647550daf9cd8752c1656dcb0136d79ce1 ]

When flag mclk_with_tere and mclk_direction_output enabled,
The SAI transmitter or receiver will be enabled in very early
stage, that if FSL_SAI_xMR is set by previous case,
for example previous case is one channel, current case is
two channels, then current case started with wrong xMR in
the beginning, then channel swap happen.

The patch is to clear xMR in hw_free() to avoid such
channel swap issue.

ASoC: fsl_sai: Fix no frame sync clock issue on i.MX8MP

[ Upstream commit 14e8442e0789598514f3c9de014950de9feda7a4 ]

On i.MX8MP, when the TERE and FSD_MSTR enabled before configuring
the word width, there will be no frame sync clock issue, because
old word width impact the generation of frame sync.

TERE enabled earlier only for i.MX8MP case for the hardware limitation,
So need to disable FSD_MSTR before configuring word width, then enable
FSD_MSTR bit for this specific case.

ASoC: fsl_sai: Revert "ASoC: fsl_sai: Enable MCTL_MCLK_EN bit for master mode"

This reverts commit ff87d619ac180444db297f043962a5c325ded47b.

Andreas reports that on an i.MX8MP-based system where MCLK needs to be
used as an input, the MCLK pin is actually an output, despite not having
the 'fsl,sai-mclk-direction-output' property present in the devicetree.

This is caused by commit ff87d619ac18 ("ASoC: fsl_sai: Enable
MCTL_MCLK_EN bit for master mode") that sets FSL_SAI_MCTL_MCLK_EN
unconditionally for imx8mm/8mn/8mp/93, causing the MCLK to always
be configured as output.

FSL_SAI_MCTL_MCLK_EN corresponds to the MOE (MCLK Output Enable) bit
of register MCR and the drivers sets it when the
'fsl,sai-mclk-direction-output' devicetree property is present.

Revert the commit to allow SAI to use MCLK as input as well.

ASoC: fsl_sai: Enable BCI bit if SAI works on synchronous mode with BYP asserted

There's an issue on SAI synchronous mode that TX/RX side can't get BCLK
from RX/TX it sync with if BYP bit is asserted. It's a workaround to
fix it that enable SION of IOMUX pad control and assert BCI.

For example if TX sync with RX which means both TX and RX are using clk
form RX and BYP=1. TX can get BCLK only if the following two conditions
are valid:
1. SION of RX BCLK IOMUX pad is set to 1
2. BCI of TX is set to 1

ASoC: fsl: fsl_sai: Convert to platform remove callback returning void

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored
and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a
quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this
quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns
void.

Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

ASoC: fsl_sai: Remove unnecessary FIFO reset in ISR

The FIFO reset drops the words in the FIFO, which may cause
channel swap when SAI module is running, especially when the
DMA speed is low. So it is not good to do FIFO reset in ISR,
then remove the operation.

ASoC: fsl_sai: Add support for PLL switch at runtime

i.MX8MQ/MN/MM/MP platforms typically have 2 AUDIO PLLs being
configured to handle 8kHz and 11kHz series audio rates.

The patch implements the functionality to select at runtime
the appropriate AUDIO PLL as function of sysclk rate.
