net: remove noblock parameter from skb_recv_datagram()
skb_recv_datagram() has two parameters 'flags' and 'noblock' that are merged inside skb_recv_datagram() by 'flags | (noblock ? MSG_DONTWAIT : 0)'
As 'flags' may contain MSG_DONTWAIT as value most callers split the 'flags' into 'flags' and 'noblock' with finally obsolete bit operations like this:
skb_recv_datagram(sk, flags & ~MSG_DONTWAIT, flags & MSG_DONTWAIT, &rc);
And this is not even done consistently with the 'flags' parameter.
This patch removes the obsolete and costly splitting into two parameters and only performs bit operations when really needed on the caller side.
One missing conversion thankfully reported by kernel test robot. I missed to enable kunit tests to build the mctp code.

atm: fix a UAF in lec_arp_clear_vccs()
Gengming reported a UAF in lec_arp_clear_vccs(), where we add a vcc socket to an entry in a per-device list but free the socket without removing it from the list when vcc->dev is NULL.
We need to call lec_vcc_close() to search and remove those entries contain the vcc being destroyed. This can be done by calling vcc->push(vcc, NULL) unconditionally in vcc_destroy_socket().
Another issue discovered by Gengming's reproducer is the vcc->dev may point to the static device lecatm_dev, for which we don't need to register/unregister device, so we can just check for vcc->dev->ops->owner.

Revert "net: simplify sock_poll_wait"
This reverts commit dd979b4df817e9976f18fb6f9d134d6bc4a3c317.
This broke tcp_poll for SMC fallback: An AF_SMC socket establishes an internal TCP socket for the initial handshake with the remote peer. Whenever the SMC connection can not be established this TCP socket is used as a fallback. All socket operations on the SMC socket are then forwarded to the TCP socket. In case of poll, the file->private_data pointer references the SMC socket because the TCP socket has no file assigned. This causes tcp_poll to wait on the wrong socket.

Revert changes to convert to ->poll_mask() and aio IOCB_CMD_POLL
The poll() changes were not well thought out, and completely unexplained. They also caused a huge performance regression, because "->poll()" was no longer a trivial file operation that just called down to the underlying file operations, but instead did at least two indirect calls.
Indirect calls are sadly slow now with the Spectre mitigation, but the performance problem could at least be largely mitigated by changing the "->get_poll_head()" operation to just have a per-file-descriptor pointer to the poll head instead. That gets rid of one of the new indirections.
But that doesn't fix the new complexity that is completely unwarranted for the regular case. The (undocumented) reason for the poll() changes was some alleged AIO poll race fixing, but we don't make the common case slower and more complex for some uncommon special case, so this all really needs way more explanations and most likely a fundamental redesign.
[ This revert is a revert of about 30 different commits, not reverted individually because that would just be unnecessarily messy - Linus ]

atm: Preserve value of skb->truesize when accounting to vcc
ATM accounts for in-flight TX packets in sk_wmem_alloc of the VCC on which they are to be sent. But it doesn't take ownership of those packets from the sock (if any) which originally owned them. They should remain owned by their actual sender until they've left the box.
There's a hack in pskb_expand_head() to avoid adjusting skb->truesize for certain skbs, precisely to avoid messing up sk_wmem_alloc accounting. Ideally that hack would cover the ATM use case too, but it doesn't — skbs which aren't owned by any sock, for example PPP control frames, still get their truesize adjusted when the low-level ATM driver adds headroom.
This has always been an issue, it seems. The truesize of a packet increases, and sk_wmem_alloc on the VCC goes negative. But this wasn't for normal traffic, only for control frames. So I think we just got away with it, and we probably needed to send 2GiB of LCP echo frames before the misaccounting would ever have caused a problem and caused atm_may_send() to start refusing packets.
Commit 14afee4b609 ("net: convert sock.sk_wmem_alloc from atomic_t to refcount_t") did exactly what it was intended to do, and turned this mostly-theoretical problem into a real one, causing PPPoATM to fail immediately as sk_wmem_alloc underflows and atm_may_send() *immediately* starts refusing to allow new packets.
The least intrusive solution to this problem is to stash the value of skb->truesize that was accounted to the VCC, in a new member of the ATM_SKB(skb) structure. Then in atm_pop_raw() subtract precisely that value instead of the then-current value of skb->truesize.

vfs: do bulk POLL* -> EPOLL* replacement
This is the mindless scripted replacement of kernel use of POLL* variables as described by Al, done by this script:
for V in IN OUT PRI ERR RDNORM RDBAND WRNORM WRBAND HUP RDHUP NVAL MSG; do L=`git grep -l -w POLL$V | grep -v '^t' | grep -v /um/ | grep -v '^sa' | grep -v '/poll.h$'|grep -v '^D'` for f in $L; do sed -i "-es/^\([^\"]*\)\(\<POLL$V\>\)/\\1E\\2/" $f; done done
with de-mangling cleanups yet to come.
NOTE! On almost all architectures, the EPOLL* constants have the same values as the POLL* constants do. But they keyword here is "almost". For various bad reasons they aren't the same, and epoll() doesn't actually work quite correctly in some cases due to this on Sparc et al.
The next patch from Al will sort out the final differences, and we should be all done.

atm: mpoa: remove 32-bit timekeeping
net/atm/mpoa_* files use 'struct timeval' to store event timestamps. struct timeval uses a 32-bit seconds field which will overflow in the year 2038 and beyond. Morever, the timestamps are being compared only to get seconds elapsed, so struct timeval which stores a seconds and microseconds field is an overkill. This patch replaces the use of struct timeval with time64_t to store a 64-bit seconds field.

net: convert sock.sk_wmem_alloc from atomic_t to refcount_t
refcount_t type and corresponding API should be used instead of atomic_t when the variable is used as a reference counter. This allows to avoid accidental refcounter overflows that might lead to use-after-free situations.

atm: remove an unnecessary loop
Andrey reported this kernel warning:
WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 4114 at kernel/sched/core.c:7737 __might_sleep+0x149/0x1a0 do not call blocking ops when !TASK_RUNNING; state=1 set at [<ffffffff813fcb22>] prepare_to_wait+0x182/0x530
The deeply nested alloc_skb is a problem.
Diagnosis: nesting is wrong. It makes zero sense. Fix it and the implicit task state change problem automagically goes away.
alloc_skb() does not need to be in the "while" loop.
alloc_skb() does not need to be in the {prepare_to_wait/add_wait_queue ... finish_wait/remove_wait_queue} block.
I claim that: - alloc_tx() should only perform the "wait_for_decent_tx_drain" part - alloc_skb() ought to be done directly in vcc_sendmsg - alloc_skb() failure can be handled gracefully in vcc_sendmsg - alloc_skb() may use a (m->msg_flags & MSG_DONTWAIT) dependent GFP_{KERNEL / ATOMIC} flag

sched/headers: Prepare for new header dependencies before moving code to <linux/sched/signal.h>
We are going to split <linux/sched/signal.h> out of <linux/sched.h>, which will have to be picked up from other headers and a couple of .c files.
Create a trivial placeholder <linux/sched/signal.h> file that just maps to <linux/sched.h> to make this patch obviously correct and bisectable.
Include the new header in the files that are going to need it.

[iov_iter] new primitives - copy_from_iter_full() and friends
copy_from_iter_full(), copy_from_iter_full_nocache() and csum_and_copy_from_iter_full() - counterparts of copy_from_iter() et.al., advancing iterator only in case of successful full copy and returning whether it had been successful or not.
Convert some obvious users. *NOTE* - do not blindly assume that something is a good candidate for those unless you are sure that not advancing iov_iter in failure case is the right thing in this case. Anything that does short read/short write kind of stuff (or is in a loop, etc.) is unlikely to be a good one.

net: Generalise wq_has_sleeper helper
The memory barrier in the helper wq_has_sleeper is needed by just about every user of waitqueue_active. This patch generalises it by making it take a wait_queue_head_t directly. The existing helper is renamed to skwq_has_sleeper.

net: Remove iocb argument from sendmsg and recvmsg
After TIPC doesn't depend on iocb argument in its internal implementations of sendmsg() and recvmsg() hooks defined in proto structure, no any user is using iocb argument in them at all now. Then we can drop the redundant iocb argument completely from kinds of implementations of both sendmsg() and recvmsg() in the entire networking stack.
