ath6kl: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2], introduced in C99:
struct foo { int stuff; struct boo array[]; };
By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on.
Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by this change:
"Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1]
sizeof(flexible-array-member) triggers a warning because flexible array members have incomplete type[1]. There are some instances of code in which the sizeof operator is being incorrectly/erroneously applied to zero-length arrays and the result is zero. Such instances may be hiding some bugs. So, this work (flexible-array member conversions) will also help to get completely rid of those sorts of issues.
This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle.

networking: make skb_put & friends return void pointers
It seems like a historic accident that these return unsigned char *, and in many places that means casts are required, more often than not.
Make these functions (skb_put, __skb_put and pskb_put) return void * and remove all the casts across the tree, adding a (u8 *) cast only where the unsigned char pointer was used directly, all done with the following spatch:
@@ expression SKB, LEN; typedef u8; identifier fn = { skb_put, __skb_put }; @@ - *(fn(SKB, LEN)) + *(u8 *)fn(SKB, LEN)
@@ expression E, SKB, LEN; identifier fn = { skb_put, __skb_put }; type T; @@ - E = ((T *)(fn(SKB, LEN))) + E = fn(SKB, LEN)
which actually doesn't cover pskb_put since there are only three users overall.
A handful of stragglers were converted manually, notably a macro in drivers/isdn/i4l/isdn_bsdcomp.c and, oddly enough, one of the many instances in net/bluetooth/hci_sock.c. In the former file, I also had to fix one whitespace problem spatch introduced.

ath6kl: add tracing support to debug message macros
Now all log messages are sent through the tracing infrastruture as well. Tracing point doesn't follow debug_mask module parameter, instead it sends all debug messages, so once you enable ath6kl_log_dbg tracing point you will get a lot of messages. Needs to be discussed if this is sensible or not. The overhead should be small enough and we anyway include debug level as well so it's easy to filter in user space.
I wasn't really sure what to do with ath6kl_dbg_dump() and for now decided that it also sends the buffer to user space. But most likely in the future ath6kl_dbg_dump() should go away in favor of using proper tracing points, but we will see.

If, in drivers/net/wireless/ath/ath6kl/debug.c::ath6kl_fwlog_block_read(), the call to wait_for_completion_interruptible() returns -ERESTARTSYS then we'll return without freeing the (as yet unused) memory we allocated for 'buf' - thus leaking it.

simple_open: automatically convert to simple_open()
Many users of debugfs copy the implementation of default_open() when they want to support a custom read/write function op. This leads to a proliferation of the default_open() implementation across the entire tree.
Now that the common implementation has been consolidated into libfs we can replace all the users of this function with simple_open().
This replacement was done with the following semantic patch:
<smpl> @ open @ identifier open_f != simple_open; identifier i, f; @@ -int open_f(struct inode *i, struct file *f) -{ ( -if (i->i_private) -f->private_data = i->i_private; | -f->private_data = i->i_private; ) -return 0; -}
@ has_open depends on open @ identifier fops; identifier open.open_f; @@ struct file_operations fops = { ... -.open = open_f, +.open = simple_open, ... }; </smpl>

ath6kl: Add ARP offload related statistic info in tgt_stats
Firmware reports the below ARP offload related information while sending the target statistic event to the host.
* Number of ARP packets received. * Number of packets matched with the device IP addr. * Number of ARP response packet sent to the remote.
This patch adds the additional debug prints in debugfs entry tgt_stats. It will be useful to know the ARP offload execution status.
