Revert "net: phy: dp83867: perform soft reset and retain established link"

This reverts commit da9ef50f545f86ffe6ff786174d26500c4db737a.

This fixes a regression in which the link would come up, but no
communication was possible.

The reverted commit was also removing a comment about
DP83867_PHYCR_FORCE_LINK_GOOD, this is not added back in this commits
since it seems that this is unrelated to the original code change.

net: phy: dp83867: add w/a for packet errors seen with short cables

Introduce the W/A for packet errors seen with short cables (<1m) between
two DP83867 PHYs.

The W/A recommended by DM requires FFE Equalizer Configuration tuning by
writing value 0x0E81 to DSP_FFE_CFG register (0x012C), surrounded by hard
and soft resets as follows:

write_reg(0x001F, 0x8000); //hard reset
write_reg(DSP_FFE_CFG, 0x0E81);
write_reg(0x001F, 0x4000); //soft reset

Since DP83867 PHY DM says "Changing this register to 0x0E81, will not
affect Long Cable performance.", enable the W/A by default.

net: phy: dp83867: Fix SGMII FIFO depth for non OF devices

Current driver code will read device tree node information,
and set default values if there is no info provided.

This is not done in non-OF devices leading to SGMII fifo depths being
set to the smallest size.

This patch sets the value to the default value of the PHY as stated in the

This is causing the link is not established and results in timeout error

net: phy: ti: remove the use of .ack_interrupt()

In preparation of removing the .ack_interrupt() callback, we must replace
its occurrences (aka phy_clear_interrupt), from the 2 places where it is
called from (phy_enable_interrupts and phy_disable_interrupts), with
equivalent functionality.

This means that clearing interrupts now becomes something that the PHY
driver is responsible of doing, before enabling interrupts and after
clearing them. Make this driver follow the new contract.

net: phy: ti: implement generic .handle_interrupt() callback

In an attempt to actually support shared IRQs in phylib, we now move the
responsibility of triggering the phylib state machine or just returning
IRQ_NONE, based on the IRQ status register, to the PHY driver. Having
3 different IRQ handling callbacks (.handle_interrupt(),
.did_interrupt() and .ack_interrupt() ) is confusing so let the PHY
driver implement directly an IRQ handler like any other device driver.
Make this driver follow the new convention.

net: phy: dp83867: w/a for fld detect threshold bootstrapping issue

When the DP83867 PHY is strapped to enable Fast Link Drop (FLD) feature
STRAP_STS2.STRAP_ FLD (reg 0x006F bit 10), the Energy Lost Threshold for
FLD Energy Lost Mode FLD_THR_CFG.ENERGY_LOST_FLD_THR (reg 0x002e bits 2:0)
will be defaulted to 0x2. This may cause the phy link to be unstable. The
new DP83867 DM recommends to always restore ENERGY_LOST_FLD_THR to 0x1.

Hence, restore default value of FLD_THR_CFG.ENERGY_LOST_FLD_THR to 0x1 when
FLD is enabled by bootstrapping as recommended by DM.
