drm/crtc: fix uninitialized variable use

[ Upstream commit 6e455f5dcdd15fa28edf0ffb5b44d3508512dccf ]

Commit 3823119b9c2b ("drm/crtc: Fix uninit-value bug in
drm_mode_setcrtc") was supposed to fix use of an uninitialized variable,
but introduced another.

num_connectors is only initialized if crtc_req->count_connectors > 0,
but it's used regardless. Fix it.

drm/crtc: Fix uninit-value bug in drm_mode_setcrtc

[ Upstream commit 3823119b9c2b5f9e9b760336f75bc989b805cde6 ]

The connector_set contains uninitialized values when allocated with
kmalloc_array. However, in the "out" branch, the logic assumes that any
element in connector_set would be equal to NULL if failed to
initialize, which causes the bug reported by Syzbot. The fix is to use
an extra variable to keep track of how many connectors are initialized
indeed, and use that variable to decrease any refcounts in the "out"
branch.

drm/crtc: Introduce drmm_crtc_init_with_planes

The DRM-managed function to register a CRTC is
drmm_crtc_alloc_with_planes(), which will allocate the underlying
structure and initialisation the CRTC.

However, we might want to separate the structure creation and the CRTC
initialisation, for example if the structure is shared across multiple
DRM entities, for example an encoder and a connector.

Let's create an helper to only initialise a CRTC that would be passed as
an argument.

drm: Introduce plane and CRTC scaling filter properties

Introduce per-plane and per-CRTC scaling filter properties to allow
userspace to select the driver's default scaling filter or
Nearest-neighbor(NN) filter for upscaling operations on CRTC and
plane.

Drivers can set up this property for a plane by calling
drm_plane_create_scaling_filter() and for a CRTC by calling
drm_crtc_create_scaling_filter().

NN filter works by filling in the missing color values in the upscaled
image with that of the coordinate-mapped nearest source pixel value.

NN filter for integer multiple scaling can be particularly useful for
for pixel art games that rely on sharp, blocky images to deliver their
distinctive look.

drm: Replace drm_modeset_lock/unlock_all with DRM_MODESET_LOCK_ALL_* helpers

but it's caught by the drm_warn_on_modeset_not_all_locked() that the
legacy modeset code uses. Since this is the bkl and it's unclear
what's all protected, play it safe and grab it again for legacy
drivers.

Unfortunately this means we need to sprinkle a few more #includes
around.

Also we need to add the drm_device as a parameter to the _END macro.

Finally remove the mute_lock() from setcrtc, since that's now done by
the macro.

drm: no need to check return value of debugfs_create functions

When calling debugfs functions, there is no need to ever check the
return value. The function can work or not, but the code logic should
never do something different based on this.

Because there is no need to check these functions, a number of local
functions can be made to return void to simplify things as nothing can
fail.

drm/lease: Make sure implicit planes are leased

If userspace doesn't enable universal planes, then we automatically
add the primary and cursor planes. But for universal userspace there's
no such check (and maybe we only want to give the lessee one plane,
maybe not even the primary one), hence we need to check for the
implied plane.

Needs a tiny bit of open-coding, but less midlayer beats that I think.

drm: Add DRM_MODESET_LOCK_BEGIN/END helpers

This patch adds a couple of helpers to remove the boilerplate involved
in grabbing all of the modeset locks.

I've also converted the obvious cases in drm core to use the helpers.

The only remaining instance of drm_modeset_lock_all_ctx() is in
drm_framebuffer. It's complicated by the state clear that occurs on
deadlock. ATM, there's no way to inject code in the deadlock path with
the helpers, so it's unfit for conversion.

- Relocate ret argument to the end of the list (Daniel)
- Incorporate Daniel's doc suggestions (Daniel)

drm: Add vrr_enabled property to drm CRTC

This patch introduces the 'vrr_enabled' CRTC property to allow
dynamic control over variable refresh rate support for a CRTC.

This property should be treated like a content hint to the driver -
if the hardware or driver is not capable of driving variable refresh
timings then this is not considered an error.

Capability for variable refresh rate support should be determined
by querying the vrr_capable drm connector property.

It is worth noting that while the property is intended for atomic use
it isn't filtered from legacy userspace queries. This allows for Xorg
userspace drivers to implement support.

drm: fix use of freed memory in drm_mode_setcrtc

drm_mode_setcrtc() retries modesetting in case one of the functions it
calls returns -EDEADLK. connector_set, mode and fb are freed before
retrying, but they are not set to NULL. This can cause
drm_mode_setcrtc() to use those variables.

For example: On the first try __drm_mode_set_config_internal() returns
-EDEADLK. connector_set, mode and fb are freed. Next retry starts, and
drm_modeset_lock_all_ctx() returns -EDEADLK, and we jump to 'out'. The
code will happily try to release all three again.

This leads to crashes of different kinds, depending on the sequence the
EDEADLKs happen.

Fix this by setting the three variables to NULL at the start of the
retry loop.

drm: Differentiate the lack of an interface from invalid parameter

If the ioctl is not supported on a particular piece of HW/driver
combination, report ENOTSUP (aka EOPNOTSUPP) so that it can be easily
distinguished from both the lack of the ioctl and from a regular invalid
parameter.

v2: Across all the kms ioctls we had a mixture of reporting EINVAL,
ENODEV and a few ENOTSUPP (most where EINVAL) for a failed
drm_core_check_feature(). Update everybody to report ENOTSUPP.

v3: ENOTSUPP is an internal errno! It's value (524) does not correspond
to a POSIX errno, the one we want is ENOTSUP. However,
uapi/asm-generic/errno.h doesn't include ENOTSUP but man errno says

"ENOTSUP and EOPNOTSUPP have the same value on Linux,
but according to POSIX.1 these error values should be
distinct."

so use EOPNOTSUPP as its equivalent.
