In get_esi() PCI errors are checked inside line-split "if" conditions (in
addition to the file not following the coding style). To make the code in
get_esi() more readable, fix the coding style and use the usual error
handling pattern with a separate variable.

In addition, initialization of 'error' variable at declaration is not
needed.

No functional changes intended.

patch replaces cases of:

with:

as it's slightly less ugly than:

kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)

though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.

Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.

* Multiplications for the size determination of memory allocations
indicated that array data structures should be processed.
Thus use the corresponding function "kmalloc_array".

This issue was detected by using the Coccinelle software.

* Replace the specification of data types by pointer dereferences
to make the corresponding size determination a bit safer according to
the Linux coding style convention.
