spapr_iommu: Realloc guest visible TCE table when hot(un)plugging vfio-pci
This replaces g_malloc() with spapr_tce_alloc_table() as this is the standard way of allocating tables and this allows moving the table back to KVM when unplugging a VFIO PCI device and VFIO TCE acceleration support is not present in the KVM.
Although spapr_tce_alloc_table() is expected to fail with EBUSY if called when previous fd is not closed yet, in practice we will not see it because cap_spapr_vfio is false at the moment.

ppc patch queue 2017-08-23
This is identical to the pull request from yesterday (20180822), except that a bug in one patch is fixed so that it doesn't break TCG on a ppc host.
Last minute ppc related fixes for qemu-2.10. I'm not sure if these are critical enough to prompt another rc, but I'm submitting them for consideration.
First, is Cornelia's fix for 480bc11e6 which meant "make check" would always fail on a ppc host. Tracking that down delayed submission of the rest of these patches, sorry.
The rest are all fairly important bugfixes for qemu crashes or guest behaviour regression on ppc. Patches 2-4 specifically are fixes for regressions from qemu-2.9, caused by the compatibility mode and hotplug handling cleanups for the pseries machine type.

memory/iommu: QOM'fy IOMMU MemoryRegion
This defines new QOM object - IOMMUMemoryRegion - with MemoryRegion as a parent.
This moves IOMMU-related fields from MR to IOMMU MR. However to avoid dymanic QOM casting in fast path (address_space_translate, etc), this adds an @is_iommu boolean flag to MR and provides new helper to do simple cast to IOMMU MR - memory_region_get_iommu. The flag is set in the instance init callback. This defines memory_region_is_iommu as memory_region_get_iommu()!=NULL.
This switches MemoryRegion to IOMMUMemoryRegion in most places except the ones where MemoryRegion may be an alias.

Convert error_report() to warn_report()
Convert all uses of error_report("warning:"... to use warn_report() instead. This helps standardise on a single method of printing warnings to the user.
All of the warnings were changed using these two commands: find ./* -type f -exec sed -i \ 's|error_report(".*warning[,:] |warn_report("|Ig' {} +
Indentation fixed up manually afterwards.
The test-qdev-global-props test case was manually updated to ensure that this patch passes make check (as the test cases are case sensitive).

vmstate: error hint for failed equal checks
In some cases a failing VMSTATE_*_EQUAL does not mean we detected a bug, but it's actually the best we can do. Especially in these cases a verbose error message is required.
Let's introduce infrastructure for specifying a error hint to be used if equal check fails. Let's do this by adding a parameter to the _EQUAL macros called _err_hint. Also change all current users to pass NULL as last parameter so nothing changes for them.

memory: tune last param of iommu_ops.translate()
This patch converts the old "is_write" bool into IOMMUAccessFlags. The difference is that "is_write" can only express either read/write, but sometimes what we really want is "none" here (neither read nor write). Replay is an good example - during replay, we should not check any RW permission bits since thats not an actual IO at all.

ppc patch queue 2017-04-26
Here's a respind of my first pull request for qemu-2.10, consisting of assorted patches which have accumulated while qemu-2.9 stabilized. Highlights are: * Rework / cleanup of the XICS interrupt controller * Substantial improvement to the 'powernv' machine type - Includes an MMIO XICS version * POWER9 support improvements - POWER9 guests with KVM - Partial support for POWER9 guests with TCG * IOMMU and VFIO improvements * Assorted minor changes
There are several IPMI patches here that aren't usually in my area of maintenance, but there isn't a regular maintainer and these patches are for the benefit of the powernv machine type.
This pull request supersedes my 2017-04-26 pull request. This new set fixes a bug in one of the aforementioned IPMI patches which caused clang sanitizer failures (and may have crashed on some libc / host versions).

target-ppc: kvm: make use of KVM_CREATE_SPAPR_TCE_64
KVM_CAP_SPAPR_TCE capability allows creating TCE tables in KVM which allows having in-kernel acceleration for H_PUT_TCE_xxx hypercalls. However it only supports 32bit DMA windows at zero bus offset.
There is a new KVM_CAP_SPAPR_TCE_64 capability which supports 64bit window size, variable page size and bus offset.
This makes use of the new capability. The kernel headers are already updated as the kernel support went in to v4.6.

Merge remote-tracking branch 'remotes/dgibson/tags/ppc-for-2.8-20160907' into staging
ppc patch queue for 2016-Sep-7
This is my first pull request for the newly opened qemu-2.8 tree. It contains a heap of things that were too late for 2.7 and have been queued for a while. In particular: * A number of preliminary patches for the powernv machine type * A substantial cleanup of exception handling which will be necessary to support running a TCG with hypervisor facilities * A start on support for POWER9 * Some TCG implementations for new POWER9 instructions * Some TCG and related cleanups in preparation for POWER9 * Some assorted TCG optimizations * An implementation of the H_CHANGE_LOGICAL_LAN_MAC hypercall which allows the MAC address to be changed on the PAPR virtual NIC. * Add some extra test cases for several machines (this isn't strictly in the ppc code, but is most value to ppc)
NOTE: This pull request supersedes ppc-for-2.8-20160906, which had some problems. Changes: * Dropped BenH's lmw/stmw speedups, which break for qemu-system-ppc64 on BE hosts * A small fix to Thomas' serial output test to avoid a warning on the isapc machine type. * Some trivial checkpatch fixes
Note that some of the patches in this series still have large numbers of checkpatch warnings. This is because they're moving existing code that predates most of the checkpatch style conventions.

spapr: Fix undefined behaviour in spapr_tce_reset()
When a TCE table (sPAPR IOMMU context) is in disabled state (which is true by default for the 64-bit window), it has tcet->nb_table == 0 and tcet->table == NULL. However, on system reset, spapr_tce_reset() executes, which unconditionally calls memset(tcet->table, 0, table_size);
We get away with this in practice, because it's a zero length memset(), but memset() on a NULL pointer is undefined behaviour, so we should not call it in this case.
