Pull sound updates from Takashi Iwai: "We had again a busy development cycle with many new drivers as well as lots of core improvements / cleanups. Let's go for highlights:
ALSA core:
- PCM locking scheme was refactored for reducing a global rwlock
- PCM suspend is handled in the device type PM ops now; lots of explicit calls were reduced by this action
- Cleanups about PCM buffer preallocation calls
- Kill NULL device object in memory allocations
- Lots of procfs API cleanups
ASoC core:
- Support for only powering up channels that are actively being used
- Cleanups / fixes of topology API
ASoC drivers:
- MediaTek BTCVSD for a Bluetooth radio chip, which is the first such driver we've had upstream!
- Quite a few improvements to simplify the generic card drivers, especially the merge of the SCU cards into the main generic drivers
- Lots of fixes for probing on Intel systems to follow more standard styles
- A big refresh and cleanup of the Samsung drivers
- New drivers: Asahi Kasei Microdevices AK4497, Cirrus Logic CS4341 and CS35L26, Google ChromeOS embedded controllers, Ingenic JZ4725B, MediaTek BTCVSD, MT8183 and MT6358, NXP MICFIL, Rockchip RK3328, Spreadtrum DMA controllers, Qualcomm WCD9335, Xilinx S/PDIF and PCM formatters
ALSA drivers:
- Improvements of Tegra HD-audio controller driver for supporting new chips
- HD-audio codec quirks for ALC294 S4 resume, ASUS laptop, Chrome headset button support and Dell workstations
- Improved DSD support on USB-audio
- Quirk for MOTU MicroBook II USB-audio
- Support for Fireface UCX support and Solid State Logic Duende Classic/Mini"

ASoC: More changes for v5.1
Another batch of changes for ASoC, no big core changes - it's mainly small fixes and improvements for individual drivers.
- A big refresh and cleanup of the Samsung drivers, fixing a number of issues which allow the driver to be used with a wider range of userspaces. - Fixes for the Intel drivers to make them more standard so less likely to get bitten by core issues. - New driver for Cirrus Logic CS35L26.

ASoC: dmaengine: Extend use of chan_names provided in custom DMA config
There are currently two ways to specify custom DMA channel names: - through the SND_DMAENGINE_PCM_FLAG_CUSTOM_CHANNEL_NAME flag and snd_dmaengine_dai_dma_data data structure, - through chan_names field of struct snd_dmaengine_pcm_config.
In order to replace the DAI DMA data method with the custom DMA config one on non-DT platforms the dmaengine_pcm_new() function is extended to also consider channel names specified in the custom DMA config. If both config->chan_names and dma_data->chan_name are provided the former will be used.

ASoC: dmaengine: Improve of_node test in dmaengine_pcm_request_chan_of()
Currently when of_node of the "PCM" device is null dmaengine_pcm_request_chan_of() function will bail out, including cases when custom DMA device is intended to be used. To have the channels properly requested when custom DMA device is provided extend the of_node test to also consider dma_dev->of_node.

Merge tag 'y2038' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arnd/playground into timers/core
Pull more y2038 work from Arnd Bergman:
y2038: convert more syscalls
Here is another set of system call changes to prepare the change over to 64-bit time_t. As before, the strategy is to change system calls that take a 'struct timespec' argument over to 'struct __kernel_timespec', which for now is defined to be the same but will get redefined to use a 64-bit time_t argument once we are ready to modify the system call tables.
The major change from previous patches is that the plan is no longer to directly use the 'compat' system calls for providing compatibility with the existing 32-bit time_t based entry points. Instead, we rename the compat code to something that makes more sense on 32-bit architectures, e.g. compat_timespec becomes old_timespec32.
With the renamed types in place, change over the 'stat' and 'utimes' families of system calls, sched_rr_get_interval, recvmmsg and rt_sigtimedwait. Another series for poll, select and io_pgetevents is currently being tested.
