[PATCH] Remove incorrect unlock_kernel from allocation failure path in coda_open() Commit 398c53a757702e1e3a7a2c24860c7ad26acb53ed (in the historical GIT tree) moved the lock_kernel() in coda_open after the allocation of a coda_file_info struct, but left an unlock_kernel() in the allocation failure error path; remove it. [PATCH] vfs: add lock owner argument to flush operation Pass the POSIX lock owner ID to the flush operation. This is useful for filesystems which don't want to store any locking state in inode->i_flock but want to handle locking/unlocking POSIX locks internally. FUSE is one such filesystem but I think it possible that some network filesystems would need this also. Also add a flag to indicate that a POSIX locking request was generated by close(), so filesystems using the above feature won't send an extra locking request in this case. [PATCH] Make most file operations structs in fs/ const This is a conversion to make the various file_operations structs in fs/ const. Basically a regexp job, with a few manual fixups The goal is both to increase correctness (harder to accidentally write to shared datastructures) and reducing the false sharing of cachelines with things that get dirty in .data (while .rodata is nicely read only and thus cache clean) Signed-off-by: Arjan van de Ven <arjan@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>

Linux-2.6.12-rc2 Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
