Merge tag 'y2038' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arnd/playground into timers/core

Pull more y2038 work from Arnd Bergman:

y2038: convert more syscalls

Here is another set of system call changes to prepare the change over to
64-bit time_t. As before, the strategy is to change system calls that
take a 'struct timespec' argument over to 'struct __kernel_timespec',
which for now is defined to be the same but will get redefined to use a
64-bit time_t argument once we are ready to modify the system call tables.

The major change from previous patches is that the plan is no longer
to directly use the 'compat' system calls for providing compatibility
with the existing 32-bit time_t based entry points. Instead, we rename
the compat code to something that makes more sense on 32-bit architectures,
e.g. compat_timespec becomes old_timespec32.

With the renamed types in place, change over the 'stat' and 'utimes'
families of system calls, sched_rr_get_interval, recvmmsg and
rt_sigtimedwait. Another series for poll, select and io_pgetevents is
currently being tested.

spi: add SPI controller driver for UniPhier SoC

Add SPI controller driver implemented in Socionext UniPhier SoCs.

UniPhier SoCs have two types SPI controllers; SCSSI supports a
single channel, and MCSSI supports multiple channels.
This driver supports SCSSI only.

This controller has 32bit TX/RX FIFO with depth of eight entry,
and supports the SPI master mode only.

This commit is implemented in PIO transfer mode, not DMA transfer.

Pull spi updates from Mark Brown:
"Quite a busy release for SPI, mainly as a result of Boris Brezillon's
work on improving the integration with MTD for accelerated SPI flash
controllers. He's added a new spi_mem interface which works a lot
better with general hardware and converted the users over to it, as a
result of this work we've got some MTD changes in here as well.

Other highlights include:

- Lots of spring cleaning for the s3c64xx driver.

- Removal of the bcm53xx, the hardware is also supported by the mspi
driver but SoC naming had caused people to miss the duplication.

- Conversion of the pxa2xx driver to use the standard message
processing loop rather than open coding.

- A bunch of improvements to the runtime PM of the OMAP McSPI driver"

spi: Extend the core to ease integration of SPI memory controllers

Some controllers are exposing high-level interfaces to access various
kind of SPI memories. Unfortunately they do not fit in the current
spi_controller model and usually have drivers placed in
drivers/mtd/spi-nor which are only supporting SPI NORs and not SPI
memories in general.

This is an attempt at defining a SPI memory interface which works for
all kinds of SPI memories (NORs, NANDs, SRAMs).
